SUMMARY:The Good News of Broadway
DESCRIPTION:The Church at Highland Park is so excited to be producing shortened versions of Broadway musicals in a four-Sunday series. We will be putting the hymnals aside for just a few weeks while we consider how these shows can connect to our faith. Along with our own performers\, we will be bringing in guest performers and musicians. The Highland Park Choir and our HP Youth and Children will also be an integral part of each service! \nThe schedule is as follows: \nSeptember 4: The Fiddler on the Roof. What does honest prayer look like? What role can tradition play in our faith? Follow Tevye as he learns what’s truly important in life. This is a story that follows the whims of love and life as a Jew. \nSeptember 11: Disney Sunday. Kids and nostalgic adults are sure to love this week as we sing our favorites from Disney on Broadway. You might hear something from Beauty and the Beast or the Lion King. We encourage kids to come dressed up as their favorite Disney character for this Sunday. \nWe will have popcorn\, playbills\, and congregational involvement! We hope you see you there!
