SUMMARY:The Good News of Broadway Series
DESCRIPTION:Back by popular demand\, it’s that time of year where we turn down the lights and turn up the drama! \nThe Church at Highland Park is doing its second year of “The Good News of Broadway”\, where we adapt familiar Broadway musicals to our sanctuary. We take the theme of the musical to share the Good News of the Gospel through your favorite show tunes! We bring in guest musicians along with our members to fill the roles each Sunday. \nThis year\, the series will be three weeks long\, and takes place during worship on Sunday Mornings at 11:00am in the sanctuary. Here is our schedule for this year: \nSeptember 3- Music Man \nIt is fun for all ages\, and the children often have a role in the show. We hope you’ll join us for this fun\, unique\, and FREE experience! Grab your popcorn on the way in and sit down and enjoy the show! \n

SUMMARY:NAMI Walk for Mental Illness
DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again\, for the annual NAMI Walk! Each year\, The Church at Highland Park sponsors a team to take part. NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness\, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI’s mission is close to the heart of HP and its members. ALL people are uniquely created in the image of God and deserve love and acceptance! NAMI is a fantastic representation of that eternal truth. \nThe team is headed up by Becky Dillard\, who is very passionate about this issue! We would love for you to sign up to either walk\, or to donate money if you can’t do so. We often walk together\, and Becky will be sure to communicate to everyone where to meet and how to walk together.
