Sunday Nights on Zoom at 6PM

Youth @ Highland Park is all about building a growing relationship with each other and with a living God. Due to COVID-19, Sunday School is currently held on Sunday nights on Zoom at 6PM. Typically, Sunday School is led by our Minister for Youth and Outreach, Masyn Evans-Clements, and two Sunday School teachers, Wes Glazener and Brandon Evans-Clements. If you have a youth-aged child, grades 6-12, and you would like them to get involved with our youth group, send an e-mail to Masyn at or you can call or text her at (432) 288-5823.

Yearly Activities during regular operation:

  • Mid-winter Retreat: We join our SWBYC friends for a weekend at Disciples Crossing in Athens, Texas where we play, pray, worship, and dance. We load the trailer Friday evening and aim to be back by the end of church on Sunday.
  • Lock-Ins: All-night snacking, movie-watching, sardines-playing, seldom-sleeping delirium is the only way to describe our overnighters where the youth find themselves locked in the church for 12 hours of fun.
  • Southwest Baptist Youth Camp: the annual Summer Camp for all youth, grades 6-12.  A day at camp includes morning activities and devotions, Bible studies, swimming, movie-making, missions, games, worship, evening fellowships, and a nap (if you’re lucky). Youth camp for 2021 is ON! We hope you’ll join us from June 20-25 at Schreiner University in Kerrville, TX. Learn more here.
  • Mission Trip: We take the church bus and trailer and hit the road. Our work involves serving others and serving one another and lots of room to grow our faith and put it to work. We often end our trip doing something really fun together.
